Porsche Taycan J1

Porsche's first series-production electric car, and the engineering choices show a company thinking about repeatability rather than headline numbers. The rear axle gets a two-speed transmission where nearly every rival makes do with one ratio, and the car was built to take repeated hard laps without derating. Base cars are rear-drive with dual-motor all-wheel drive above them, and the J1 platform also underpins the Cross Turismo and Sport Turismo shooting brakes.
