Talimena Scenic Byway

The Mena-to-Talihina route crosses forested ridges in Arkansas and Oklahoma, largely within the Ouachita National Forest. Arkansas's tourism authority gives the full route as 54 miles, including 18 miles in Arkansas. The eastern section climbs Rich Mountain and passes Queen Wilhelmina State Park before the state line. Elevation changes and bends define the road's character.
