85 paved miles of SR 410 following the glacier-fed White River from Enumclaw over Chinook Pass to the Naches valley, along the eastern flank of Mount Rainier. Steady climbing curves through dense forest give way to sub-alpine meadows and rocky ridges at the pass, then drop into river canyon and basalt country on the dry side. Chinook Pass is a seasonal crossing, closed by snow through the winter.
