105 paved miles circling Mount Hood from the Columbia Gorge through the Hood River fruit valleys and over the shoulder of the volcano on the historic Barlow Road corridor. Sustained climbing grades, deep temperate forest and waterfall stops, with the highest sections holding snow and requiring traction devices in winter even though the route stays open. Weekend ski and orchard traffic can be heavy.
