Angeles Crest Scenic Byway

The designated byway follows California Route 2 from La Cañada toward the Los Angeles–San Bernardino county line. It winds through the San Gabriel Mountains, climbing from roughly 1,500 feet to Dawson Saddle at 7,901 feet. Mountain weather and road repairs can interrupt through access; the scenic designation and quoted distance do not establish that the whole route is currently open.
