Nissan 240SX S14

The US-market S14, counterpart to the Japanese S14 Silvia, and the difference matters: American cars got the naturally aspirated KA24DE rather than the turbocharged SR20DET, which is the single reason engine swaps are so common on this chassis. It arrived as a wider, lower redesign of the S13 240SX and was dropped after 1998 as the US sport coupe market shrank. For a long stretch it was the cheapest rear-drive coupe an American beginner could learn to drift in, and that is largely what happened to the surviving cars.
