Pacific Coast Scenic Byway

363 paved miles of US 101 down the entire Oregon coast from Astoria to Brookings. The road alternates between cliff-edge curves with ocean drops, flat runs through estuary marsh and dune country, agricultural valleys, and a series of historic bridges. Fog, crosswinds and wet pavement are routine year-round, and summer brings heavy tourist traffic through the coastal towns.
