Kancamagus Scenic Byway

A 26.5-mile paved run of NH 112 through the White Mountain National Forest, traversing the flank of Mt. Kancamagus between Conway and Lincoln. Steady climbing curves to the pass with pull-offs at overlooks, river swimming holes, and the Russell Colbath historic site; there are no gas stations or lodging along the byway itself. Traffic is heaviest during fall foliage. The road stays open in winter but is exposed and snow-prone at the pass.
